[/one_third] [two_third last=”yes” class=”” id=””]As you can see from the graph, West Virginia’s salaries for substance abuse counselors is slightly below the national average. They have the following credentials available.

> Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC)

> Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC)

> Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP)

> Prevention Specialist (PS)

> Clinical Supervisor (CS)

You can see the standards for each of these credentials at http://www.wvcbapp.org/Content.aspx?Topic=Certification#CCAC[/two_third]

Whitney ONeal

Hello,
I’m a recent graduate from Colorado Technical University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice concentrating in Human Services. I really would like to be a substance abuse counselor either the ACC or the AADC. What are the requirements in West Virginia so that I may be able to successfully become what I dream to be.
Thank you,
Whitney O’Neal
